Are Regional Payment Systems Effective for Making Global Transactions?

Yolanda Kelley, Vice President and Product Manager for International Payment Services, BNY Mellon Treasury Services

As the industry actively evolves its methods of facilitating payments, financial service providers and practitioners are increasingly looking for ways to make international payments cheaper and faster. Wire payments have traditionally met the high-value, global payment needs of corporates. But as costs for these transactions continue to grow, companies are turning to regional payment systems (e.g., ACH) for their international payment needs as an increasingly attractive option.

Yolanda Kelley is primarily responsible for managing strategy, financial performance, product development, and industry issues related to international payment services, U.S. and International ACH, and Multicurrency Funds Transfer.

Yolanda joined BNY Mellon in 1994 and has over 21 years of experience in banking and cash management services. Prior to her current role, she was responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the company’s Internet-based electronic banking service. She has experience in various cash management disciplines including product management, operations and technical support.

Yolanda is part of the WIN Mentoring Steering committee at BNY Mellon. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in international banking from Mercy College.
