Digital Payments have seen a tremendous momentum worldwide.  According to industry data, in the last 4 quarters, including Q1'15,  investment in payments startups has been at an all-time high. Consequently, Digital Payments as a topic is attracting a lot of attention; but what does it mean for a typical corporate user? In this session, the presenters will make a case for incorporating Digital Payments as an essential ingredient within corporate treasury, marketing, customer service and product operations. They will also discuss the role Digital Payments can play as these functions look for increased customer retention, acquisition and delivering a better experience.


Speaker Information


Ambrish Bansal as a Director of North America Market Management within Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS), drives marketing strategy and commercialization of treasury management products designed for large, institutional clients. Prior to this, Ambrish led Citi’s digital payments strategy for the wholesale transaction banking business spearheading product development and marketing. His experience includes Payments Software as a Service models for financial and business workflow solutions. He represents Citi in banking industry forums advising on various aspects of digital payments, healthcare transactional flows, and financial applications.

Prior to Citi, Ambrish worked for Oracle Corporation, where he led various initiatives to advance the enterprise applications business- focusing on large scale B2B applications. He has also served as a Scientist for the Defense Research and Development Organization (“DRDO”) in India helping with key defense technology programs.

Ambrish holds an MBA from The Johnson School of Management at Cornell University and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Warangal, India.


Davesh Shah is a Vice President, Cash Management Sales Consultant within Treasury and Trade Solutions.  He is responsible for working with global multi-nationals to develop the most beneficial payment technology structures for corporate needs spanning Treasury, Marketing, and Customer Service functions.

Davesh has previously served functional roles in Product Management and Sales across Citi in the United States and the Netherlands. He has served as a strategic consultant to corporate and public sector agencies to design solutions centered on customer experience and re-engineering financial processes to support efforts for end-to-end analysis, design, and execution to unlock financial value.

Davesh graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
