Payments: How Fast is Fast Enough? (I)

Session Description

Payments technology is advancing rapidly, with Same-Day ACH now an option for every corporation and instant payments on the horizon for most. Yet moving to faster payments brings with it the need to overhaul existing settlement systems and processes to keep pace.

This session takes the form of a live conversation with the treasurer of Paychex, the Rochester, NY, corporation which has already implemented Same-Day ACH, and with payments and treasury experts from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The panel will examine the implications of faster payments for treasurers, look into Both the opportunities and the potential pitfalls presented by faster payments and seek to answer the question: How fast is fast enough?

Corporate treasurers will leave this session with a better understanding of what’s around the corner in payments technology, and of the likely effects of moving to faster payments for treasury teams, their corporations and the customers they serve.
