Cash Forecasting in the Information Age (A)

Session Description

Recent changes in the global economic and political landscape have in many cases been rapid, drastic, and unexpected, challenging treasury departments responsible for risk management, regulatory navigation, and cash forecasting. Treasurers have responded to this ever-changing global economy and more uncertain political landscape by taking a fresh look at cash forecasting strategies and existing technology. Treasurers without best-in-class cash forecasting processes, and the latest technologies which can accommodate these processes through stronger analytics and decision making tools, have found themselves the most challenged in the information age.

In this session, a panel representing treasury practitioners, technology providers, and cash forecasting process reengineering experts will discuss next generation cash forecasting, highlighting new standards in cash forecasting best practices and innovations in technology.  Additionally, the session will include a corporate case study in cash forecasting process reengineering and improvement delivered by Aetna.  Attendees will learn how they can evaluate the effectiveness of their existing cash forecasting function, and how they can improve the cash forecasting function through a combination of process improvements and technological adoption.
