The Way We Pay: Hot Topics in Payments (I)

Session Description

This session will provide attendees with high-level updates on payment topics of interest to corporate practitioners and financial institutions. The presenter will focus on recent developments, industry initiatives and trends in areas such as “faster” payments (same-day ACH and real-time), mobile payments, credit and debit cards, and fraud and security. 



Speaker Information

Matt Davies, AAP, CTP, CPP, is as Assistant Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. In this role he oversees the Dallas Fed’s efforts in payments-related outreach to financial institutions and corporates.


Matt has over 19 years of experience in the payments industry, 17 of those with the Federal Reserve Banks. He has also served as a product manager for a commercial bank and in the bankcard industry. He is currently the president of the Dallas Association for Financial Professionals.


Matt graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, with a B.A. in Political Science and History, in 1997. He also completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 2013.
